It was with surprise to find that the former [Bracket] pub on Margate Sea Front, which over the years has been known as the Cinque Parts Arms and the Punch & Judy - and was used last year as the HQ for the Dreamland fun park - had morphed into Ale Caesar, a pop-up pub.

Housed in the ground floor bar area of the pub, the place serves up to
three real ales from a cool room that has been built utilising part of the long
bar counter. As well as the real ales, real cider along with wine and a couple of bottled beers are also served

The wall’s wood panelling has stripped back to bare wood giving it a rustic feel; they are decorated with film & tv stills. Seating is a mix of table & chairs and sofas while bench seating is installed at the windows overlooking the main sands.
Landlord Matt Edmondson has a lease on the place until October, and hopes to extend
this if business is good over the summer.
On my visit a couple days after opening I had a pint of Gadds' No.5 which was superb. An excellent addition to the Margate pub scene and well worth seeking out.
